10-year-old girl slain in four-car collision on Highway 169

A report released by the Owasso Police Department says a 10-year-old girl was killed in a four-car collision on highway 169.

Officers say the girl was a passenger in one of the vehicles when it was struck by a car. Police are still investigating the exact cause of the crash but, they believe it was caused by inattention. According to the report, traffic slowed down on 169 and one of the drivers didn’t notice. This caused the driver to crash into multiple vehicles before stopping the car.

As a result of the crash, a total of two people were injured. One of them was the 10-year-old girl, the other was an adult. Authorities have not said if they were in the same car. The driver who caused the crash has not been arrested at this time because the investigation is still pending. When the situation changes we will provide updates.

The 10-year-old girl survived for a little while after being taken to the hospital. However, her wounds were too severe and she passed from this life. Police have not released her name due to privacy reasons. We offer our condolences to the child’s family.
