A hit-and-run left a 30-year-old bicyclist dead on Edison St in West Tulsa
Authorities say a man named Ronald Hill was riding his bike on the 23000 blk of W. Edison St., around 9 p.m. As of now, it’s unclear if Hill was making a turn or which direction the driver came from. However, investigators were able to conclude that Hill was following the laws of the road. Police believe the suspect driver was either under the influence or distracted at the time of the crash.
Investigators are obtaining statements from nearby residents and drivers who may have witnessed the crash. The person who called police also gave her statement to investigators but those details were not released. Medical personnel arrived shortly after the police where they tried to stabilize Hill so he could be transported. Sadly, his injuries were too severe and 30-year-old Ronald Michael Peter Hill was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward, the family of Ronald Hill is also asking the driver to turn themselves in because it’s the right thing to do. We offer our condolences to his family as they try to cope with this heavy loss.
