Broken Arrow Police have identified Matthew Montgomery as the teenager who was hit in a crash on the Broken Arrow Expressway.
According to the report, the crash happened after Montgomery’s vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle on the Broken Arrow Expressway. The impact of the crash pushed Montgomery into a vehicle that was in front of him. Montgomery was severely injured in the crash and was lucky to be alive. Bystanders to the crash actually helped save Montgomery’s life.
Emergency personnel was called to the scene by bystanders stuck in traffic. After an unknown amount of time, paramedics responded and provided treatment. Once stabilized, he was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was in a coma. Once there, his next of kin were contacted and the family rushed to be at the side of Matthew. The report didn’t say if any of the other drivers sustained injuries.
