Pedestrian Accidents in Oklahoma
Unfortunately, studies show that an average of three children are killed every day in pedestrian accidents in the United States. The leading cause of most pedestrian accidents is negligent driving, which includes speeding, using a cell phone, conversing with passengers, driving under the influence, and any other distracting activity. Because children are smaller, it’s easier for drivers not to see them if they’re already not fully focused on the road. It’s also easier for them to suffer more serious injuries.
The police are currently investigating this accident to determine if the driver will be held fully liable. Depending on their reports, the child’s parents could file a wrongful death lawsuit.
