A collision between a semi-truck and SUV left one driver injured and parts of I-240 closed in OKC

Total Traffic Oklahoma released a report via Sigalert about a two-vehicle collision on I-240.

According to the post, a semi-truck and an SUV are blocking the lane after they collided earlier today. The report also said at least one of the drivers were injured. Officers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are at the scene where they blocked of the scene. Drivers using the eastbound lanes from Western to Pennsylvania  Ave are urged to find another way and use caution. As of now, police have not determined an official cause of the collision. The crash happened recently, so it will likely take a few days before more information is released.

Medical personnel also arrived at the scene where one of the drivers were treated and taken to the hospital. Luckily, the injuries are non-life threatening and the driver is expected to recover soon. Police obtained statements from the involved parties and other drivers who may have witnessed the crash. Authorities have not released this information or the names of the individuals involved while the crash is being investigated. The report did not mention the condition of either driver at the scene, so impairment will likely be ruled out. Also, neither of the involved parties have been cited at this time.
