Every driver has a responsibility to be alert while driving; however, drivers still get distracted and commit negligent behavior. Negligent driving is the leading cause of car accidents in America. Utilizing a cell phone, eating, applying makeup, speeding, and driving under the influence are all examples of negligent driving. Drivers believe they can complete other tasks while they drive and still have control of their vehicle, which isn’t always accurate. Accidents occur within seconds of distracted driving. Once investigators determine the cause of this accident and who is at fault, Turner’s family could work with an attorney to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit. It’s very unfortunate that he lost his life in this collision. No family should have to undergo the pain and suffering that comes from losing a loved one.
