Creek County, Oklahoma (January 5, 2018): The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has confirmed that it is investigating a fatal New Years Eve motor vehicle crash that killed 28-year-old Douglas J. Harper. As the investigation remains open and ongoing, little information about the accident has been made publicly available, and few details are known at this time.
According to reports, Harper was driving an SUV on an unidentified road in Creek County when the vehicle veered off the roadway surface and rolled over before coming to a complete stop. Harper was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision and was ejected from the vehicle in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have not yet determined what caused the vehicle to veer off-road and reports do not indicate that any other persons were injured.
