Yackeschi Redelk was arrested for his involvement in a crash that closed NW 8th St.
According to the Traffic Alert released by Oklahoma City Police, Redelk was arrested after his vehicle collided head-on with the driver of a gray car. Police say Redelk was drunk while driving his car down NW 8th St. Redelk was in a black mini-van and it’s believed that he swerved into oncoming traffic. The crash was violent and left the driver of the gray car severely injured.
Paramedics were called to the scene and they were able to stabilize the injured driver and transport him to the hospital. Luckily, the driver only sustained a few broken bones and police say the driver is expected to recover. Redelk was arrested at the scene by police and was booked for a DUI. The report did not say if this was Redelks first offense or is he is being held on bond. The coming weeks will provide new information as evidence is processed.
