Child Dies on Interstate 35
Edmond, OK (July 14, 2018) – Early Saturday morning, around 2: 30 a.m., a collision occurred on the Interstate 35. A 20-year old male named Xavier Ware, drove north on I-35, when his car deterred from the road and rolled. There were two passengers in the car, a 24-year old named Alexis Ware, and a 3-year old. The toddler flew out of the vehicle when it crashed. An hour later they flagged down a motorist to help with the toddler. Emergency responders transported the child to a local hospital, but the child’s injuries were fatal.
Officials wanted a blood sample from Ware to determine if he was driving under the influence; however, Ware refused. Officials were able to eventually receive a sample once they provided a search warrant. Officials charged Ware for murder and child endangerment.
It’s unclear whether the accident occurred due to bad road conditions, or if the crash involved another vehicle. The results from Ware’s blood sample are also unknown.

Unfortunately, car accidents occur frequently and for many reasons. A common reason is driving under the influence, which looks like it could have been the cause of this accident. Once Ware’s results are in, and they prove he was under the influence, the mother of the toddler can pursue a wrongful death lawsuit.
