An early morning rear-end collision on I-44 left one person dead on Friday morning in Tulsa. At approximately 5:15 am on Friday March 23rd, a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero SUV was traveling on I-44 when the driver failed to heed a stopped tractor trailer. The SUV slammed into the back of the tractor trailer, tragically resulting in the death of the SUV driver. The tractor trailer driver escaped the collision without injury. When the accident occurred, the tractor trailer was experiencing mechanical trouble on the side of the road. Oklahoma Highway Patrol has yet to determine a cause for the accident.
