Collision Causes Three Injuries
Garvin County, OK (July 7, 2018) On Saturday night, an accident took place on US 177 just 3 miles south of Stratford. A 22-year old man named Austin Johnson traveled east on County Road 1570 and did not stop at a stop sign, which caused him to crash into a vehicle heading northbound on US 177. The other driver’s name is Steven Dilbeck, who is 57 years old. Although Dilbeck suffered severe injuries from the accident, Johnson suffered no injuries.
Each driver had a passenger in their vehicle. Johnson’s passenger’s name is Ceara Hogue, who is 21 years old. Hogue was flown to OU Medical Center for minor injuries. Dilbeck’s passenger’s name is Regina Dilbeck, who is 60 years old. She suffered arm and head injuries from the accident.
Car accidents can be devastating experiences for everyone involved, especially if the accident could have been avoided. Unfortunately, negligence is the most common cause of car accidents. In this case, this accident was an act of negligent driving; therefore, a lawsuit can be filed by Dilbeck and his passenger since they are both suffering personal injuries. Victims who suffer personal injuries should be compensated for their damages and losses.
