One Dead and Four Injured in Fatal Injury Crash
Harrah, OK (September 21, 2018) On the evening of September 20th, a fatal injury crash occurred in northeast Oklahoma County. Officials state that a pickup truck driver headed north on Peebly Road and proceeded past a stop sign on Britton Road, ultimately crashing into a van headed westbound. When emergency responders arrived, they discovered five people were injured. They flew a 17-year-old boy named Dylan James Butler to the hospital due to his critical injuries. Unfortunately, medical professionals confirmed that he suffered fatal injuries. Emergency responders also transported the driver of the pickup truck to the hospital, as well as the three people inside of the van. The police are currently investigating the accident.
Vehicle Accidents in Oklahoma
The most unfortunate aspect of vehicle accidents is that most of them could be avoided since the majority of them are caused by negligent driving. Whenever drivers make the conscious decision to use their cell phones, apply makeup, eat, converse with a passenger, speed, drive under the influence, and/or fall asleep at the wheel, they are putting themselves and everyone else on the road at risk. Drivers are required to be alert and aware of their surroundings at all times. It’s so unfortunate that five people were injured in this collision and a teenager lost his life. Butler’s parents could work with an attorney to file a wrongful death lawsuit, and the other injured victims could file personal injury lawsuits.
