Two people died in a head on collision near Pryor, Oklahoma on Thursday morning. The accident took place on Highway 20. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says that is where 73 year old Gary Scott was traveling eastbound in a pickup truck. Scott’s truck suddenly crossed the center line, striking a Ford Focus driven by 21 year old Ofelia Chavoya. Chavoya’s vehicle was struck head on.
Scott was pinned inside his truck for approximately two and a half hours while Chavoya was ejected from her vehicle. Both drivers died at the accident scene. Highway Patrol troopers remained on scene following the accident. At this time, their investigation is ongoing as they try to determine why Scott crossed the center line.
