Although drivers are required to drive responsibly at all times, vehicle accidents still occur daily in the United States. The main cause is negligent driving, which consists of using a cell phone, eating, applying makeup, speeding, driving under the influence, or conversing with a passenger. Drivers might not think some of these examples are as hazardous as others, but they’re all a distraction that puts everyone at risk. It only takes a couple of seconds of distracted driving for a serious accident to occur, which could risk the lives of everyone involved. It’s highly unfortunate that a life was lost in this accident. Once the police determine why the accident occurred, the deceased driver’s family members could work with an attorney to file a wrongful death lawsuit.
