Multiple injuries reported in McClain County Crash by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol

McClain County Sheriffs reported an injury collision to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol that took place on I-35.

The post was released through the Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s Twitter, and it stated that two vehicles collided near mile marker 95 on 1-35. The vehicles were driving southbound prior to the collision. As of now, investigators declined to give an official cause of the crash, but speed and inattention were likely a factor. The crash was violent causing the roadway to be blocked for a few hours.

Emergency personnel was called by the drivers involved and other drivers blocked by the wreckage. After a short time, medical and police personnel arrived at the scene. Police blocked off the rest of the road to allow cleanup crews to clear a path for drivers. As that was going on, paramedics treated the wounded drivers and transported one to the hospital. The other was taken to the hospital by with their own vehicle and was shortly released.

The condition of both drivers will be tested and statements will be obtained from those involved. Police will also talk to drivers who witnessed the scene, but as of now, no more information has been released. We will stay current with the story and add updates if they are released.
