Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (December 8, 2017): Just before 8:00 PM on Friday, November 24, 2017, the Oklahoma City Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of SW 42nd Street and S May Street in southwest Oklahoma City to investigate a fatal collision between a motor vehicle and a wheelchair.
Police believe the person in the wheelchair, who has not been identified, was attempting to cross the street at the intersection when the car struck. The individual in the wheelchair was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car has also not been identified, and reports do not make clear whether the driver remained at the scene after the crash. It is unclear whether any charges will be brought in connection with this crash, which remains under investigation by authorities.
