Passenger Ejected from Truck
Oklahoma City, OK (July 18, 2018) On Wednesday morning, around 10:35 a.m., a man driving a pickup truck suddenly swerved for an unknown reason, then drove off the roadway and overcorrected. This caused the truck to flip over, which ejected the passenger onto the road. The passenger’s name was John Allen Ferrell. He died at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to the OU Medical Center.
Officials have not verified if the driver is suffering any injuries. Officials have also not revealed the driver’s identity. More investigation will determine the cause of the accident, as well as who is liable.
Car Accidents in Oklahoma
Car accidents occur daily, if not multiple times a day throughout the state. The most common cause for these accidents is due to some form of negligence. Another cause for accidents is bad road conditions or defective auto parts. Because no other vehicles were involved in the crash, it’s possible that the accident occurred due to bad road conditions or a malfunctioning auto part. Depending on the evidence, Ferrell’s family could file a wrongful death lawsuit against whoever is liable. If the driver suffers severe or catastrophic injuries, he or she could file a personal injury lawsuit.
