Vehicle Accidents in Oklahoma
Recent studies show that every year an average of 1,000 people lose their lives in truck-related accidents in Oklahoma. The leading cause of most accidents is negligent driving, which includes speeding, driving under the influence, and driving fatigued. For this reason, the federal government created specific rules and regulations for truck companies to enforce amongst their employees in order to keep roadways safe. Truck drivers are capped at how many hours they can driver per week so that they’re not fatigued on the road.Truck drivers must also log everything pertaining to their truck throughout their entire work shift.
Because five vehicles were involved in this collision, determining liability might be complex. The police are evaluating the conditions of each vehicle, the conditions of the roadways, and the condition of each driver to determine what led up to the crash. Once they conclude their reports, it’s likely that personal injury lawsuits will be filed.
