Vehicle Accidents in Oklahoma
The most common cause for vehicle accidents is careless driving, also known as negligent driving. Negligent driving includes speeding, driving under the influence, using a cell phone, or falling asleep at the wheel. In this case, investigators are still figuring out the exact cause of the accident; however, officials confirmed that the vehicle responsible for hitting the other vehicle is a stolen vehicle. The reason so many hit-and-run accidents occur is because drivers either don’t have auto insurance, a valid license, active registration, or the car is legally not theirs.
Because the driver who got hit is suffering injuries, he or she could file a personal injury lawsuit against the other driver. The most common injuries that result from an accident are neck injuries, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, broken bones, and internal injuries. Medical expenses could accrue determining the severity of the injury.
