Bicycle Accidents in Oklahoma
Bicycle accidents are highly dangerous because bicyclists don’t wear any protective gear to shield their bodies from injuries. Bicyclists are very susceptible to obtaining serious injuries that could require medical treatment ranging anywhere from weeks, months, years, or a lifetime. The teenager is very fortunate to be alert and responsive after being struck by a vehicle. It’s unacceptable that the driver did not stop to check on the teen. Most hit-and-run accidents occur if drivers lack auto insurance, a valid license, or updated vehicle registration. Some drivers are in a stolen vehicle, which is also why they don’t stop after hitting bicyclists. Regardless, once police capture the culprit, the teenager’s family could file a personal injury lawsuit with the help of a personal injury lawyer.
