Four Cars Involved in Multi-Vehicle Wreck
Oklahoma City, OK (January 4, 2019) On January 4th, a multi-vehicle wreck happened in the westbound lanes of I-44, just west of Pennsylvania Avenue. According to the reports, a gray pickup truck rear-ended another vehicle for unknown reasons. The impact of the collision left the pickup truck with major front-end damage. Two other vehicles were also involved in the crash, which appeared to be a chain-reaction accident. Emergency crews arrived at the scene to tend to all injured parties and clear the lanes. While they investigated, they shut down some of the westbound lanes.
We hope all injured victims are properly treated and fully recover from their injuries.
Vehicle Accidents in Oklahoma
Whenever two or more vehicles are involved in an accident, determining liability can be difficult. The police are currently investigating this accident to determine who will be at fault for all damages and losses. It appears as though the chain-reaction crash was a result of an initial crash between two other vehicles. The law states that no matter why a vehicle stops, the vehicle behind should be able to safely stop behind as well. If not, then the vehicle behind is not driving as safely, which may have been in the case in this accident. Once the police finalize their reports, those who obtained injuries may be able to file personal injury lawsuits.
