Oklahoma City, OK: Pedestrian Killed in Overnight Hit and Run on I-40

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (November 20, 2017): Around 8:00 in the morning Thursday, November 16, 2017, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol discovered the body of a man killed in an apparent hit and run in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40, just west of Sunnylane Road. Authorities believe the pedestrian, 54-year-old Ricky Dean Rivas of Sparks, OK, may have been struck by a GMC pickup truck, van, or SUV which could have sustained damage to the front passenger side as a result of the crash.

The investigation remains open and Oklahoma Highway Patrol is requesting the assistance of anyone who may have further information about this incident which they believe happened sometime overnight on Wednesday or Thursday.
