Pedestrian Accidents in Oklahoma
Unfortunately, pedestrians are hit almost every day in Oklahoma, with the leading cause being negligence. Drivers should yield as they approach pedestrians, even if drivers have the right of way. Unfortunately, drivers are often too distracted by their cell phones, other passengers, fatigue, and more. Sometimes drivers are under the influence, or they’re partaking in what may seem to be harmless activities. It’s vital that drivers do not allow themselves to be distracted while on the road because pedestrians are often the ones who suffer the most.
The police are currently investigating this accident to determine if negligence played a role. They’re also examining if there were any mechanical issues or bad road conditions. Once they finalize their reports, it’s likely that personal lawsuits will be filed.
