Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (December 5, 2017): A woman, described in news reports as “elderly,” has been hospitalized after crashing her vehicle into a muffler shop in downtown Oklahoma City on Sunday afternoon, December 3, 2017. Authorities believe the woman was suffering from a medical episode which caused the collision at Southeast 89th Street and Shields Avenue.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, was evacuated through her car window by the Oklahoma City Fire Department and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries, which are said to be non-life-threatening. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
