One Dead, Five Injured In Interstate Collision

Oklahoma Personal Injury AttorneyA collision on Interstate 44 left one person dead and five others injured Friday afternoon.  The events happened around 12:15 pm.  That is when police say 30 year old Shawn Marie Ramon was traveling northbound on the interstate.  Ramon’s vehicle suddenly left its travel lane and crossed the grass median.  It then collided head-on with a black SUV in the southbound lanes of the highway.

Ramon was ejected from the vehicle in the collision.   Five people inside the SUV suffered injuries and are receiving treatment at a local hospital.  Unfortunately, Ramon died at the scene of the crash.   Traffic was heavily affected as a result of the accident, which shut down the highway.  Officers re-routed all cars along a nearby access road for several hours after the crash.  The investigation remains ongoing.
