Pottawatomie County, OK: Man Killed in Friday Morning Crash

Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma (November 20, 2017): The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has confirmed that 51-year-old William Von Frankovich from Byars, Oklahoma was killed in a motor vehicle accident on Friday morning, November 17, 2017. The accident occurred just before 7:30 A.M. when an eastbound pickup truck on State Highway 39 attempted to pass another eastbound vehicle and crashed into Von Frankovich’s westbound vehicle in a head-on collision.

The driver of the pick-up truck suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released. Von Frankovich died at the scene. Reports do not indicate if there were other occupants in either vehicle who may have been injured and no further details about the accident have been provided.
