One Dead and Two Injured in Fatal Crash
Shawnee, OK (January 3, 2019) On the 2nd of January, a fatal crash happened at the intersection of Benedict Street and Acme Road at approximately 7:05 p.m. According to the reports, an 82-year-old man named Norman Hanks was driving westbound when his car went left of center and crashed into a pickup truck on a bridge. When emergency crews arrived at the scene to offer help, Hanks had already suffered fatal injuries. They transported his passenger to OU Medical Center and took the driver of the pickup truck to St. Anthony’s Hospital. The accident is currently under investigation, but the police believe weather conditions may have played a role.
