Pedestrian Accidents in Oklahoma
Recent studies show that the number of pedestrian fatalities increases every year in the United States. Drivers are continuing to use their cell phones, IPads, and other electronic devices while they drive, which takes their focus off of the road. There are laws requiring drivers to yield to pedestrians even in the most unsuspecting areas. The police are currently investigating this accident to determine if the driver will be held fully liable. They’re evaluating the driver’s state of mind and whether drugs or alcohol were involved. They’re also inspecting road conditions, mechanical conditions, and weather conditions. Once they conclude their report, the pedestrian’s family may be able to file a wrongful death lawsuit.
