Vehicle Accidents in Oklahoma
As of June, almost 600 accidents involving large trucks occurred in Oklahoma this year. The leading causes of truck accidents is usually truck drivers driving while fatigued, defective auto-parts, hazardous road conditions, or some form of negligent driving. To decrease the number of accidents involving large trucks, the federal government developed a list of regulations that all truck companies are required to enforce amongst their employees.
One of the regulations includes driving a limited number of hours to ensure truck drivers aren’t falling asleep on the road. Another regulation is truck drivers are required to log information about the condition of the truck, the number of hours on the road when the truck last received maintenance and any other essential information.
We send our condolences to Hope’s family as we understand how unfortunate it is to lose a loved one in a vehicle accident. His family could work with an attorney to file a wrongful death lawsuit to help cover funeral expenses.
