Pedestrian Accidents in Oklahoma
Studies show that the most common causes of pedestrian accidents are distractions, unsafe speeds, and violation of the rules of the road. Those top three reasons are why thousands of pedestrians get struck by vehicles in the United States every year. There are some instances where a pedestrian might be partially at fault, such as wearing dark clothing at night while illegally crossing the street.
Even so, drivers are still required to be extra cautious and always be on the lookout for pedestrians, even in the most unsuspecting places. Whenever pedestrians are struck by vehicles, it’s vital that they report the incident to the police, even if they think they might be partially responsible. There’s always a possibility to obtain compensation for personal injuries, loss of wages, and more. Although there’s not much information regarding this accident, it’s likely that the teenager suffered some type of injury and will probably file a personal injury lawsuit.
