Tulsa, OK – Vehicle Strikes and Kills Man on 31st Street

Driver Responsible Arrested for Warrants

Tulsa, OK (January 9, 2019) On the evening of January 9th, a vehicle struck a 79-year-old man at the intersection of East 31st Street and South Garrett Road. According to the reports, the 22-year-old driver had the right-of-way to make a right turn as the man stepped onto the roadway. When the paramedics arrived to help, they found the man seriously injured and transported him to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he suffered fatal injuries and passed away at the hospital. The police arrested the driver for having six misdemeanor warrants and driving with a suspended license. Crews shut down the streets for an hour as they cleared the scene and investigated.
