Two people hospitalized after a bad collision near Harrah Newalla

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol released a post via twitter about a collision that resulted in injury near Harrah Newalla.

The report stated that two vehicles were traveling westbound on I-40 prior to the crash. As the two vehicles neared Harrah Newalla, one of the vehicles lost control and began to drift from their lane. The car that drifted, sideswiped another vehicle causing both vehicles to spin out. Luckily, both drivers walked away with their lives and no other vehicles were involved. Officers at the scene assisted cleanup crews in moving the vehicles and clearing the roadways.

Both lanes were blocked for several hours and one vehicle was totaled and had to be towed. Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after police and they treated the injured drivers. The crash left both drivers with injuries and both drivers went to the hospital for treatment. After a short time, both were released from the hospital. At this time, neither driver was cited or arrested at the scene but that is subject to change. We will update the story as information is released.
